Jean Lukaz — Founder
Jean Lukaz is the founder of the Opportunity Engineering discipline and the Opportunity Engine Framework, pioneering the study of how opportunity can be intentionally designed, measured, and governed across business, government, and society. His work integrates economics, strategy, systems thinking, artificial intelligence, institutional design, and public policy to help organizations and nations build more resilient opportunity ecosystems.
With more than two decades of experience spanning business development, tourism, hospitality, consumer advocacy, international law, standards development, and emerging technologies, he has designed businesses, brands, institutions, and innovation frameworks across Africa and international markets. His work combines strategic design with practical execution, bringing together business model innovation, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, governance, and public policy.
His professional work is complemented by graduate studies in Hospitality Management and International Law & Politics, together with extensive professional certifications in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI governance, and risk management. Fluent in English, French, and Russian, with working knowledge of several additional languages, he brings a global perspective to solving challenges in emerging markets.
Through his books, research papers, articles, and digital platforms, Jean advocates for a future in which opportunity is treated not as chance, privilege, or luck, but as infrastructure that can be intentionally designed, measured, and governed for the benefit of individuals, institutions, and nations.
